Cleaning wipes are super handy. For the kitchen, bathroom, metal fixtures, and a lot of other surfaces. But what about the expense and waste? How many of those wipes do you go through cleaning a couple of bathrooms? If you like saving money AND the environment, there are several different ways to make your own cleaning (and disinfecting) wipes that are effective and reusable. Let’s get to it!
For this recipe you’ll need a wide-mouth mason jar with lid (it should hold 4-6 cups), and 15-20 pieces of pre-cut cloth. One of the best things to use is an old t-shirt cut into squares that are about 10×10 inches. So far, you probably have all the stuff you need!
Your ingredients are simple, too. Just equal parts filtered water and white vinegar, and some essential oils (lemon, lavender, and bergamot…or choose your own). Basically, you just mix your ingredients by shaking well, then add your cloths and keep the jar closed until you’re ready to grab one. When you’re done cleaning, throw the rag in the wash!
