When you take the trip of a lifetime, the memories you make should last you that long, too! And when you return from your vacation, you should have a way to keep and protect those great memories. You might even want to put them on display to enjoy every day. Here are 11 ways to store and organize your vacation memories.

1. Gallery Wall

You can have your favorite vacation photos printed cheaply at Costco and other places. Grab some frames and set up a gallery wall that tells the story of your trip.

2. Postcard Reel

Grab a postcard for every day of your trip. Write down the adventures of the day and send it to yourself. Then when you get home, connect with with a ring or put them in a photo album to enjoy later. It’s like a diary of your vacation.

3. Sands of Time

If you like going to beaches, take a bit of sand, dirt, or pebbles with you from every trip. Get a nice jar and make layers of each destination. You can label each one.

4. Memories Rock

And so did your vacation! So why not grab a rock from every trip you take or every destination you stop at, and write a memory from that place right on it. Keep these rocks in a vase and look at them often.

5. Hang a Map

Maps make great decor items, and they can be used to remind you of al the cool places you’ve been. With this kind of map, you can even scratch off countries to mark them.

6. Passport Art

Old passports can be recycled into works of art to remind you where you’ve been.

7. Shadow Boxes

Grab some shadow boxes and fill them with foreign currency, seashells, sand, travel brochures, and other keepsakes.

8. Keepsake Jar

A mason jar with just a little decorative touch can make a great keepsake when filed with things from your trip. Small souvenirs, sand, photos, matchbooks, and hand-written memories are a few ideas.

9. Chatbooks

From your social media photos, Chatbooks can nearly automatically create photo books and send them right to you. These can be used to affordably keep memories or give as gifts.
