If you’re lucky enough to have enough space for an art studio, you’ve also probably dealt with the unfortunate task of cleaning it. Because it’s a space for flashes of creative genius, it can get pretty messy and disorganized fast. Here are some great ways to organize your art studio so the mess stays a little more manageable.
Use magnets and metal containers to store small things like beads, buttons, jewels, etc. The best thing about this storage is that you can put it under a desk or on the bottom of a shelf, which saves you tons of space!
Repurpose an old wine rack to store pens, pencils, scissors, and other craft supplies that you need on a regular basis. The advantage of a wine rack is that it’s open and easy to access so you can get those supplies in a flash when you need them.
Turn an old shoe organizer into a great way to store extra canvas and paper! You’ll have to cut through the bottoms of some of the holders in order for the paper to fit, but it’s a sacrifice worth making in order to have everything all stored neatly in one spot.
If you don’t already have one, then buy or make a sewing shelf RIGHT NOW! These things are seriously so handy. They allow you to store all of your needles, thimbles, thread, etc. without it getting all lost and tangled.
