There is nothing worse than spending all of your time and energy cleaning your home just for it to look the exact same! These cleaning hacks will help you clean faster and make your home look better than ever before.
Cleaning Hacks
Rub some dryer sheets on your baseboards to help clean them and prevent dust and other dirt form collecting on them. This works really well and helps to cut down on cleaning time!
Fill a bag with vinegar and tie it around your showerhead. Leave it there for a few hours and then remove it. Any buildup in your showerhead should now be gone! So much easier than taking the whole thing apart.
Use cream of tartar to clean small stainless steel appliances! Just rub it into the surface, buff, and then rinse off.
For faucets knobs with hard water stains, soak some paper towels in vinegar and then put them on the spots. Leave them there for a few hours and, when you take them off, the stains should easily come off with a bit of scrubbing!
To get rid of the grime and other buildup in your dishwasher, try this great trick! Put a bit of lemon Kool-Aid in the soap dispenser and then run the dishwasher. The acidic chemicals should break any grime down!
Put some vinegar in a bowl in your microwave and run it for a few minutes. Now, when you go to clean and wipe things down, the gunk should come right off.
Use a squeegee to easily and quickly collect pet hair on your carpet and furniture. Just run the squeegee over the surface and then grab the pet hair and throw it away.
Fill a bag with ammonia and stick your stove burners inside. Let it soak overnight. The next day, you should be able to easily wipe them clean.
For dishes with stuck-on gunk, fill them with a dryer sheet and hot water. The next day, the food should easily come right off.
For carpet stains, put a wet cloth over it and then iron the stain. This acts as a steamer and pulls the stain out of your carpet.
Clean and deodorize your garbage disposal with salt, ice, and lemon. Just put them down the drain and run it! Super easy.
For a cleaner mattress, use baking soda and essential oil. Sprinkle the mixture onto the mattress, let it sit for a few hours, and then vacuum it up.
Use a foam brush to easily clean in between the slats of your vents. It’s quick, easy, and so much better than removing the whole vent cover! This works in both the bathroom and the car!
To better clean and sanitize your cutting board, use a lemon and some kosher salt. Put the salt on the board and rub it in with the lemon rind!
Put some salt on your ironing board and, on its lowest setting, run the iron over it. This helps to clean up any grime on the iron!
