Dust is a boil on the neck of many a housekeeper. Wherever it comes from, you can’t seem to shut it off. While it’s fairly quick to get rid of, you know it’ll be back the next day, just like the proverbial bad penny. To make your dusting chore a little bit easier and more pleasant, here are 6 of the best dusters available. Try these, and you might actually pick up the dust instead of pushing it around for another day.

1. The Slipper Genie

Alright, this might be a little gimmicky, but if you have hard floors and want to get a little exercise while you banish the dust, give these a try. They’re actually slippers with microfiber fingers that attach to the soles, and they work pretty well!

2. Chenille Mini

This little duster is anything but mini when it comes to length. It’s actually 16 inches long, but has a small enough head to let you dust shelves, fan blades, and woodwork effectively.

3. The Glove Treatment

Before you do the white glove check, use this “handy” dusting tool to clean the dust off your blinds and other awkward surfaces.

4. The Multi-Tool

If you want one tool that does a multitude of dusting tasks, try one with multiple heads, like this telescoping dusting kit. It’ll reach up to 78 inches, and its microfiber dusting heads are washable.

5. For the Floor

Aside from the cool slippers above, there are several great floor dusting mops on the market. One of the best is the Bissell Floor Duster, made to reach under your low-lying furniture and appliances with it’s jointed handle.

6. For the Fragile Stuff

If you have collectibles you want to dust without breaking them, this dusting brush is meant specifically for that job. Its bristles are made of goat hair, so it’s soft but does great job.
