  • I hate it when I get all of my cords and wires mixed up. A great way to keep them organized and not tangled is to use PVC pipe or toilet paper tubes to store them!
  • Take an old carabiner and hang your hair ties on it! This will keep all your ties together so you never have to go searching for them again!
  • Use an old Tic Tac container to store your bobby pins. Whether it’s for on the go or just in your bathroom, this is a great idea.
  • PVC pipe can also be used to store your undies! Just cut the pipe to the right size and then stick one pair of underwear in each one.
  • Get a magnetic bar to store your small bathroom supplies. You can hang your nail clippers, bobby pins, tweezers, and other small metallic objects from it!

  • If you have young kids, then you know how messy and disorganized the bathroom can get from tub toys. A great way to organize these is to attach a rod to the wall, hang some baskets, and then stick the toys in them!
  • In your craft room, hang up a rod or pipe and stick your ribbon and twine on it. This lets you store them vertically without taking up make floor space.
  • You could also use an old laundry basket (that has holes in it) to store your ribbon and other similar material! Just slip the ends through the holes and that’s all you need to do.
  • Muffin tins are actually great for lots of different organizing ideas. They’re especially helpful in desk drawers to store small items like paper clips, tacks, etc.
  • Stick some cupcake liners in a Mason jar to easily and efficiently store them! Not only is this organized, but it prevents dust from settling in on the liners!
  • An ice cube tray is great for storing earrings. You just put one pair in each slot and then you’re done!

  • One of the things I dislike the most is seeing a bunch of cords and wires coming out of a surge protector. A simple solution is to stick it in a shoe box and then cutting holes in the side to let the cords come out when needed.
  • A paper towel dispenser can be used to quickly and easily store bracelets in your bedroom or closet. Just slip them over the dowel!
  • Take shower curtain rings and attach them around a hanger. Now, all you have to do is slip scarves through each ring to store them.
  • Attach a few Mason jars to a strip of wood and hang that up in the bathroom. You can use each jar to store a different bathroom supply, like cotton swabs, bobby pins, etc.
  • Mason jars are also great for keeping your kids’ bathroom stuff organized. Just put their names on each jar and have them put their toothbrush, floss, and other items in them!
  • Turn old Coffee Mate containers into snack containers for lunches or just for storage! They’re something you can just grab and go so you don’t waste time putting small snacks into baggies all the time.

  • Magazine racks have all sorts of organization uses, but one of those is to store your foils and other similar objects. Just stick the plastic wrap, tin foil, etc., into the rack and put it away!
  • Magazine racks are also great for storing cans! Simply slide the cans into the rack and they’ll be perfectly stored and balanced until you need to get to them!
  • Stick a tension rod underneath the kitchen sink to better store your cleaning supplies. You can hang supplies like spray bottles from the rod while still having space to store things beneath them.
  • Tension rods can also be placed in drawers to create some DIY spacing. For example, stick them in tall drawers or cabinets to better store cutting boards and other similarly shaped objects.
  • PVC, when you cut it to the right size, can be great for storing shoes. This could be in the bedroom closet or even in the entryway—wherever you think is best!
  • A nice shoe storage idea for your closet is paint cans. You just clean them out and then attach them to the wall of your closet. A pair of shoes should each be able to fit into each can.

  • Magnetized containers are great in the kitchen for storing spices. Simply fill the container with spices and stick it on the magnet board, wherever you think is best!
  • You can also use magnetized containers to store screws and nails in the garage. It makes organization and finding supplies so much easier!
  • Take those weekly pill storage devices and use them to organize your earrings or other similar jewelry.
  • Turn a mini Mason jar into a sewing kit! The cushioned lid even gives you a nice pin cushion!
  • Use an over the door shoe organizer to store cleaning supplies. This could be in the linen closet, laundry room, or wherever else you store your supplies.
