While it’s nice having an office to get work done in, all the bulky office equipment can quickly become an eyesore. Here are 8 clever ways to hide the printer so your office looks less cluttered and more organized.
Find a basket that you think is really cute and then turn into a printer storage hideout! Depending on the basket, you’ll have to cut and customize the basket for the printer to fit, but it shouldn’t be too hard!
A classic way to hide your printer is by putting it in a drawer. This could be the drawer on your desk, in a closet, or on a separate office organizer. Just make sure that it can fit the printer and hide it well.
A wheeled printer cart is a pretty ingenious idea if you think about it. You can hide it by just putting it wherever it won’t be seen! You can keep it stored away in the back of the closet and then just wheel it out whenever you need it. Pretty handy!
If you have some shelf storage in your office, then reserve one of the shelves for your printer. Ideally, it would be in a shelf near an outlet (so you don’t have to constantly plug and unplug your printer). If you have the shelves but not the printer yet, just make sure you buy a printer that fits!
Storing your printer in the closet is a pretty solid solution to make it hidden. You can keep the closet closed the whole time and then, whenever you need to print, the printer is right there!
Build or buy a bench that has storage space for a printer. That could be in little shelves on the front side of the bench or a bench that opens up for interior storage. Whatever kind of bench doesn’t really matter, as long as it looks good and hides the printer.
A super easy solution is also to just keep your printer where it’s at and then add a curtain or sheet that hides the printer! The curtain will be pretty cheap, so this is also a great cost-effective solution. Choose a design or pattern that’s fun and matches the rest of your office.
You could also consider hiding your printer in plain sight! All you need to do is make the printer look like decoration or office décor and then you’re good! As long as it looks good and fits in with the surrounding décor, you shouldn’t have a problem!
