Add some extra storage space underneath your sink by using a tension rod. The rod allows you to hang things like spray bottles, gloves, and any cleaner with a hook, really. This uses up space that you would otherwise just let go to waste!
Put hooks on the doors and sides of the cupboard underneath the sink. You can hang a lot of stuff there and it also makes easier access to items that you use frequently.
Use all the vertical storage space by buying multi-tiered storage units. You can use wire baskets, plastic storage drawers, or anything else you want.
Whether you use vertical storage or not, you should still get some cubbies and bins to keep things organized. This will make it so that all your cleaning products don’t get overcrowded or twisted together!
It’s always good to have extra cleaning supplies on hand, just in case you need them, but don’t store them underneath the sink! This takes up tons of space for things you won’t be using for a while. Instead, store your extra storage supplies in the closet, cupboard, or somewhere else with a little bit more room.
Get a cleaning caddy that you can store all of your most frequently used items in. That way, when you need to clean, you don’t have to fish around underneath the sink to find all of them. You just grab the caddy and you’re good to go!
For some reason, all cleaning supplies seem to look the same! All the bottles are generic looking, which can make it difficult to find what you’re looking for. Plus, if you put them in your own bottles or make your own cleaning supplies, then it’s even harder! Just make some labels that you can stick on the cleaning supplies to make things so much easier!
If you make your own cleaner, then it’s a great idea to have a chalkboard or other instruction tab so you don’t forget how to make it! I love the idea of a chalkboard on the inside of the cupboard because it’s right there, plus you can use it for other things if necessary!
