It’s really a lot easier to organize your refrigerator than you think. If you’re tired of searching high and low for certain items, then you need better fridge organization, stat!
Better refrigeration organization helps you plan your grocery shopping trips more quickly and easily too, because you can actually see what you need. So chill out, it’s easy! Here we go!
Fridge Organization
Start by emptying your refrigerator. Just put everything on your kitchen counter or table. As you go, try to organize it by what you’ve got–produce, condiments, meats & cheeses, etc.
Emptying out the entire space lets you see how much space there actually is, and it’s a good time to wipe up any spills as well. Also take a look at the food you’ve pulled out of the refrigerator and toss anything that’s expired.
If you’re going to have great fridge organization, better to know that it’s also clean!
Ideas How To Organize
Now it’s time for the actual organizing part of the task. The fruit and vegetable areas are pretty much a given, so just stock those drawers with the produce you’ve got. I like to put a couple of clean paper towels on the bottom of the drawers to absorb any excess moisture that accumulates.
Doors and bins that are designated for milk, eggs and juice are easy too. Same for the meat & cheese drawer. So go ahead and restock those areas of the refrigerator.
Fridge Organization Products
The hardest part is deciding how to organize the main part of the fridge–the shelf space! One way to make those areas instantly more accessible is to use a turntable for things like condiments, or jams and jellies. I like this two-level turntable you can purchase at Amazon.
Drinks
Another great refrigeration organization product available at Amazon is a soda can dispenser. If you drink a lot of soda, you need this dispenser to free up a lot of space in your refrigerator that you can then use to store something else.
I think you could also store other things in a bin like this–yogurt tubes, drink pouches, etc. Because it’s clear, you can instantly see what’s in there and when it needs to be restocked.
