• Again use clean paper towels to blot the stain and remove excess moisture.
• Mix two cups warm water with 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of an enzymatic laundry detergent in a spray bottle.
• Apply the mixture to the stain and allow it time to penetrate and break up the proteins in the stain.
• After 10-15 minutes, use a clean white cloth to blot the stain.
• Repeat until the stain disappears.

The quicker you get to the eggnog stain, the easier it is to remove. If you’re out, use cool water to rinse away as much of the stain as you can until you get home. Once home, follow these steps:

• Dissolve a little enzymatic laundry detergent in cool water in the sink.

• After soaking, launder the item as usual, using the same enzymatic detergent in the washing machine.
• Don’t toss it in the dryer until the stain is gone. If necessary, repeat steps until it disappears.
