No one likes bathroom cleaning! Isn’t it kind of the worst? How many people do you know who love to clean the bathroom? Zero? Well then, for every single one of us, here are some bathroom cleaning hacks to make cleaning everyone’s favorite room faster and easier.
1. Can for the Fan
Have you looked up at your bathroom fans lately? As you know, they can get really dusty and tend to get very little attention. No worries though; just grab a can of compressed air and blow the dust away.
2. Bleach Pen for Tile
Is your tile grout showing signs of…yuck? A bleach pen is the perfect tool for making it look new again.
3. Shine Chrome with Baby Oil
Place a few drops of baby oil on chrome fixtures to remove hard water stains.
4. Drip Dry the Brush
After cleaning the toilet, close your toilet seat over the lower part of the brush handle to let the brush dry before you put it back in place. No more yucky water in the brush holder.
5. Shower Head Re-Fresh
A baggie of vinegar and an elastic band can do wonders for the build-up on your shower head.
6. DIY Bathroom Wipes
Use them daily on the sink and toilet, and it takes less than a minute to keep your bathroom presentable all the time. Learn how to make them at the link below.
7. No-Fog Mirror
Sick of your mirror fogging up while you’re in the shower? Rub a bar of soap all over it and they’ll stay clear of the steam.
8. DIY Drain Cleaner
Got a slow bathroom drain? Pour 3/4 cup of baking soda into the drain, followed by 1/2 cup vinegar. Cover the drain and then let it sit for half an hour. Uncover the drain and then flush it well wit hot water.
9. Bleach Gel for Caulk
Bleach gel stays put long enough to bleach the gunk out of the caulk lines around your tub. Let it sit several minutes before wiping or scrubbing. Toilet bowl cleaner works too!
10. Dish Wand for the Shower
Using a dish wand to wipe down your shower every day only takes a couple of minutes, and it’ll keep you from having to do a deeper scrub every week. Fill the handle with half dish soap and half vinegar.
11. Clean Sweep for the Tub
Get a clean broom and some Dawn dish soap. Squirt it all over the tub, bottom and sides. Then use the broom to sweep and scrub the tub. The bristles do the work and save your back! The Dawn will cut through mildew, soap scum, and other buildup.
12. Keep the Brush Fresh
Pour some of your favorite antibacterial cleaner into your brush holder to keep it from getting disgusting.
