Take some shaving cream and apply a thin layer to the inside of your window. Wipe it off so your window is clear. This helps prevent fog build up!

Put a sock over each of your windshield wipers before a big storm hits. This will not only protect your windshield wipers from the snow and ice, but it will also prevent them from freezing onto the windshield.

Take a small bag or sock and fill it with kitty litter. Put this on the dashboard or somewhere close by. The kitty litter helps absorb moisture in the air, also helping prevent fog build up.

Do your best to not leave water bottles or other liquids in the car. The moisture turns into frost on the inside of your car.

Take a few bags and put them over your rearview mirrors. Not only does this make it so you don’t have to scrape ice and snow off your mirrors, but it protects them from any damage that winter storms can do.

Grab a chalkboard eraser and keep it in your car. You can use the eraser to to clear foggy windows quickly without having to worry about streaks!

Before you park your car for the night, let cold air into your car. This helps vent out the warm and moist air and bring in colder and dryer air. This keeps frost and fog down to a minimum when you come out to your car the next morning.

You can also wipe some full strength rubbing alcohol on your wiper blades. This prevents them from sticking to the window, making driving safer and even more effective.

When possible, park your car facing east to take full advantage of the sun to melt the snow and ice on car. If you leave late enough, nature will have defrosted your car for you!

Make a mixture out of 3 parts vinegar and 1 part water. Put it in a spray bottle and apply it to your winters. This will help prevent ice buildup.

If your car doors are frozen over, then heat your keys with a match or lighter and then slip the key into frozen lock. It’s an easy way to melt ice without much work.

You could also apply rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer on doors to unfreeze the lock. Let it just sit for a bit and then the ice will come right off!
