Save time in the laundry room by making sure your work area is clean and organized. Have a place for everything and keep everything in its place! This way, when you’re doing laundry, you don’t have to spend five minutes trying to find your favorite kind of laundry detergent.
Instead of spending what seems like hours and hours trying to get stuff grease stains out of your clothes, try this! Add a bit of white chalk or baby powder to the stain before you wash it like normal. This should help lift the stain right out without you having to put in any extra time.
A clean and efficient washing machine means less wash time and cleaner clothes. Once a month, fill your washing machine basin with warm water and add 2 cups of vinegar. Let it sit for about an hour and then run it like normal. This will eat away at the hard water buildup in your washer!
I’ve been skeptical of this tip, but it actually works! To help your clothes dry faster, throw a dry, fluffy towel into the dryer with the load. When it’s done, the clothes should come out nice and dry, in half the time! It’s basically laundry magic!
If you do laundry for your kids, then you know how much of a hassle that can be. Depending on their ages, get them involved in the laundry process. It saves you time and teaches your kids responsibility! It could be anything from them just folding the clothes to actually doing their own laundry.
Another really great tip to remember is to fold clothes right when they come out of the dryer. This will help prevent wrinkles, which can take you tons of time to fix down the road. Make the sacrifice now to save time in the future.
This may seem crazy to you, but remember that not everything has to be washed every time you use it! Pants, sweaters and jackets, bras, shirts worn over undershirts, and other articles of clothing can probably be worn a few times before washing them. Remember, the less clothes you have to wash, the less time it takes to do laundry.
