The Secret Combination to Locker Organization

School will soon be back in session, so it’s a good time to talk about locker organization. Why? Because having an organized locker really can make such a big difference in your success at school. Most teens are probably  already interested in making their locker look special, so it’s a great time for some tips to help keep it organized. School days will go much easier with an organized locker.

Here are the best locker organization tips from Organization Junkie:

  1. Make sure that your locker has some important essentials that will get you through each and every school day, no matter what happens. These essentials include a sweater or hoodie to wear in those cold classrooms, a snack and bottle of water, some body spray or extra deodorant, and extra hair ties and bobby pins. Girls should stash a few feminine products so they’re always available if the need arises!
  2. A magnetic locker storage organizer is an ideal spot to store all those little essentials I just mentioned. You’ll always know right where they are, and they’ll never clutter up the bottom of your locker again. You just have to be sure to put them in the organizer!
  3. Store all of your books, notebooks and binders in order from the first class of the day to the last. If they’re color-coded, that’s even better! It makes it easy to grab exactly what you need for the next class, without wasting precious time trying to find it first.
  4. Use a magnetic dry erase board to keep organized each day. Important exams and papers that are coming up should be highlighted each day. Make a habit of checking the whiteboard at the end of each school day, so that you will be sure to take home the right books and notebooks for that day’s homework.
  5. Keep a mini trash can in the bottom of the locker to quickly drop in bits of trash as needed. Make a DIY version by just saving an empty soup can. Remove the label, wash out the inside, and cover any sharp areas around the mouth of the can with washi tape. Bonus–make a second one and decorate it to hold extra pencils and pens.
